The ever popular reverse skipper ball has many different varieties. Today there are a handful of most popular options that we will talk about in this article. You just can’t do a quality air duct cleaning job without the right skipper. Here are some of your options.
The main 6 jet reverse skipper is made out of aluminum it is a reverse blowing board skipper which can accommodate less than 150 PSI and comes with a 1/4 inch hose barb already attached. This is your utility skipper which can be used over and over again. You can order through heat seal and a number of different quantities each step up will save you a little money when you buy in bulk.
The next skipper is a reverse blowing skipper that has plastic as opposed to aluminum. This reverse skipper is perfect for light jobs including dryer vents and flex ducting in newer build homes. In fact, I just used one in a dryer vent that had several elbows and wound up making it to the end of the line with no problem. I love my lightweight plastic skipper.
Next in line is a reverse blowing spending skipper. You heard me right I said spending the holes in this skipper were ingeniously board to cause a spinning action within that air ducts so that you are able to contact every wall every inch every time with this uniquely designed skipper. I have not used the spinner myself yet but I do have one on order which I’m looking forward to receiving. The marketing material says it can travel 40 feet through five elbows and beyond. If they can do all of that and still spend and I’m happy with just my natural reverse blower I can’t wait.
You need to have reversed skippers in your arsenal because you will use them every day. You can find a large variety of skippers available at heat seal equipment and they are all reasonably priced with the spinning model being the most expensive at $32. Still when it comes down to it $32 for a quality skipper just doesn’t seem like a lot of money.
